PAIR OF GEORGE III THIRD GUINEAS, 1808 AND 1810
Each approx. 2.75 grams, 22 ct. gold
A matching pair of George III third guineas, struck in 1808 and 1810. These small-denomination gold coins were issued during the Napoleonic era and feature the laureate bust of the king facing right, with the reverse bearing a crowned denomination and date within a wreath.
Both pieces retain good detail with attractive toning. An increasingly scarce type due to their modest size and relatively low mintage.
