GEORGE III 1778 GOLD HALF GUINEA,

A well-preserved example of a 1778 half guinea struck during the reign of George III. The obverse features the laureate bust of the king facing right, with the legend GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA. The reverse bears the crowned shield of arms within a spade-shaped frame, encircled by the Latin titles of the monarch. Milled edge.
Bright gold tone with clear detail to both portrait and shield. A classic Georgian gold coin with strong collector appeal.
