AMAZING AND HISTORICALLY IMPORTANT ANTIQUE FAMILY TREE CAMEO LINK NECKLACE, Italy, ca. 1700 - 1750. The necklace consisting of 17 links, each set with a double face cameo depicting a man and a woman, the surmount of each links of openwork part scrolling design decorated with blue enamel. The larger central cameo depicting a larger cameo drop of similar design. The cameo's are believe to be representing the family tree of an important southern Italian family, potentially Sicily. L. 32 cm. 44.2 grams. With antique fitted box.
